On April 15, Trung Thuy Group started the Nam O Ecotourism Resort project and announced the Program to Support the Conversion of Local Community Occupations in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.
Shape the picture of northwest Da Nang tourism
Dubbed as "the livable city", Da Nang has long been one of the must-see destinations for tourists from home and abroad. However, most of the names mentioned by tourists are usually located in the central or eastern, southern districts of the city, facing Hoi An. Possessing natural resources, rich landscapes, but the northwest area of Da Nang for many years has been like "a sleeping princess".
A typical example is the Nam O fishing village area. Owning a beautiful beach embracing the landscape of Da Nang Bay, green mossy rocks attracting thousands of tourists every early spring, diverse and unique cultural, historical, spiritual, and culinary works... but for a long time, tourism activities here have been scattered and spontaneous, lacking synchronized planning.
Recognizing the natural value and historical and cultural depth of the region, more than 10 years ago, Trung Thuy Group took the first steps to Nam O to learn and gradually shape the direction of tourism development for the whole region. From there, the picture of regional tourism gradually took shape in a complete and sustainable appearance with the cooperation of government, businesses and residents.
The seaside village "changes clothes" new
On April 15, 2023, at the event of launching the Nam O Ecotourism Resort project, Trung Thuy Group announced a program to support the conversion of community occupations with a support budget of up to 1 billion VND, including implementing a snack street along Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, granting 50 support packages to difficult circumstances living in Nam O village, and a program linking with universities in Da Nang to train tourism skills for local people.
From a rocky and messy land plot, Nguyen Tat Thanh Park has now become a destination for thousands of visitors every day.
As one of the central landscapes of the park area, the Nam O waiting house project with architecture imbued with Vietnamese identity has become a check-in point loved by young people in Da Nang. The sculpture work Nam O Gate located right in the pedestrian area along the coast also attracts many tourists.
The snack street along Nguyen Tat Thanh Park was formed from the vision and orientation of a destination that brings value to both tourists and the local community. All 50 vending carts were sponsored by Trung Thuy Group for households living in Nam O village to sell local dishes. Thus, each household can increase their income in addition to traditional occupations such as fishing and seafood.
According to the management unit of the snack street, just after more than half a month of operation, the street has attracted thousands of visitors every day. It is not uncommon to catch the image of people coming here for entertainment in the early morning or late afternoon. This is a check-in date place for many couples, a playground for children and a fitness and yoga venue favored by many people around.
In addition to creating new livelihoods for the people, the link with educational units in Da Nang to train tourism skills for local people has shown the long-term vision of the project developer. That is the goal of helping the community of residents understand and access information, skills, and professions, contributing to increasing personal and household income.
"With the relentless efforts and accompaniment of the locality, I believe that Nam O will become an indispensable stop for all tourists on the heritage journey Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An", Ms. Duong Thanh Thuy, Vice Chairman of Trung Thuy Group, shared at the event of launching the Nam O Ecotourism Resort project.
